The greatness of a town can often be measured by it's cultural life, and how it engages the community and inspires creative thinking. Public art is accessible to people of all ages and from all walks of life and lifts tourism and the economic growth of a town as well as people's spirits.

CAST is a registered charity and was established to provide art and sculpture installations
in public spaces in and around Cambridge; as well as arts education programmes
for school children in particular and the public in general.

The shape of the helix is fascinating. It is a simple shape regenerating itself around and around, or it's a sectioned cylinder – pipe.
All bolts and nuts, and all screws have as their essential element a helix or spiral. It is a circular wedge. It forms a very basic element of our mechanical world.
Currently at Inspirit Gallery... hopefully moving to Cambridge soon!
